Workshop: How to Optimize Your Program Portfolio in a DER World

Monday, July 29 | 1pm – 5pm | Grand Hyatt | $295 for SEPA Members / $395 Non-Members

Description

While traditional customer programs were focused on kWh savings and compliance, today’s utility program portfolio can do so much more – including supporting load management, resource integration, grid optimization, and increased customer satisfaction and retention. In this hands-on half-day workshop you’ll learn about the latest utility portfolio trends and best practices based on the E Source Utility DER Strategy Benchmark, which shows how leading utilities are developing more customer-centric and integrated DSM and DER program portfolios, and the benefits they are seeing from doing so. We’ll use this as a jumping off point to discuss steps you can take to assess your current portfolio within the context of DER opportunities and threats, and gain an understanding of how to optimize your portfolio to best meet evolving customer and utility needs.

What you will learn:

  • How utility’s portfolios are changing to incorporate more DR and DER programs
  • How DSM-DER programs can help utilities address key customer, load management, operational, and planning-related needs
  • How to evaluate and prioritize programs through the lens of customer desires and likely adoption, greenhouse gas reduction, load management, and more through a structured five-step process
