Interconnection 201

In this hands-on half-day workshop at North American Smart Energy Week, participants will learn about the latest regulatory trends and best practices from around the US on interconnection standards and processes with a strong focus on the potential impacts to current interconnection processes due to changes in IEEE 1547 as well as the implications of IEEE 2030.5 and FERC rulings. The workshop will then focus on DER opportunities and threats driven by rapid growth in solar+storage installations as well as the advent of new microgrid installations. The workshop will also hone in on legislatively driven requirements/ goals or mandates for specific technologies. Finally, workshop participants will also discuss how interconnection processes can be evolved to ensure fair and equitable treatment for all market participants including utilities, DER developers, and distribution customers.

To register, add this workshop on to your Solar Power International (or other North America Smart Energy Week) ticket.
