Have You Considered Becoming a Leader in the Smart Grid Architecture Committee?

Members of the Smart Grid Architecture Committee (SGAC) have new opportunities to take larger roles in the advancement of architectural frameworks for the U.S. grid. Furthermore, the positions of Vice-Chair and Secretary are also up for refresh. Anyone interested in any of these positions should contact a member of the SGIP Technical Committee.

The SGAC is a standing member committee that collaborates to craft an architectural framework for the U.S. grid, so different utilities can participate in a common grid architecture. It plays an integral role in bringing industry leaders together to make Smart Grid Interoperability possible.

Over the past two years, Cunningham has moved SGIP closer to its goals by streamlining review processes for standards, guiding the architectural rigor of the committee, proposing new ideas to SGIP members and more. And he will continue supporting the committee’s mission when his term as Chair ends. “I’ve truly enjoyed and learned from this role as SGAC chair and working with SGIP membership and leadership,” he said.
