Distributed Energy Resources Integration & Regulatory Initiatives in NY & CA

The electric power sector is in the midst of a major transition with the rise of distributed energy resources (DERs). While utilities assess the true value of DER integration to grid reliability, some states are taking proactive approaches to advance DER integration. Two such states leading the country with their regulatory initiatives are New York and California.
