Keys to Unlocking Utility EV Strategies

2017 was a monumental year for electric vehicles (EV’s). With nearly every initial penetration forecast eclipsed and lithium ion battery prices that continue to fall, EV’s will be increasingly competitive with internal combustion engines. Utilities need to prepare now for the major load changes to come with sound, practical strategies.

Inspired by SEPA’s report, Utilities & Electric Vehicles: Evolving to unlock grid value, this webinar will provide information from utilities working on present and future-focused EV strategies and goals through new business models, novel approaches to customer engagement, and new programs and activities.

Our expert from The City of Palo Alto will speak to their experience in planning for new demand from consumers and what activities they have taken to roll-out charging infrastructure as well as the City’s sustainability efforts and partnerships with the community. From Exelon, our expert will highlight the planning processes and regulatory aspects that impact Exelon’s ability to do work across their service territories. Finally, Florida Power & Light will discuss the value of EV suitability assessments, referencing an internal project completed in late 2017.
