Registration is limited to employees of regulated investor owned utilities, municipal utilities, electric cooperatives, federal power authorities, regional transmission operators and independent system operators. Due to regulatory concerns, employees of deregulated utility entities are not permitted to attend unless they are participating as a industry partner. Attendee Eligibility Policy

General Registration for Utility Conference is limited to employees of regulated investor-owned and municipal utilities, electric cooperatives, federal power authorities, and ISO/RTO employees.  Individuals who register for the conference and do not meet these requirements will have their registration canceled, and refunded less a $50.00 processing fee. To discuss additional registration options for deregulated utilities and non-utility industry partners, email [email protected].
Cancellation and Substitution Policy

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be sent via email to [email protected].  We do ask for your patience and allow us 10 business days to process the request, and that you send your request as quickly as possible so that we can adjust our planning accordingly.

Payment must be received in full by April 24, 2023, or your registration will be canceled.

Cancellations must be requested by 8 a.m. ET on April 25, 2023 to be eligible for a full refund, all cancellations received after this time will be evaluated on a case by case basis and are subject to additional charges to cover meeting expenses, e.g. food, beverage, etc. Please include any formal travel restriction notifications in your request. Event cancellation and refund requests must be sent via email to [email protected].

This does not apply to other fees associated with the event, including but not limited to: hotel reservation and cancellation fees, airline fees, etc.

Substitution Policy

Substitutions by another colleague or coworker from the same company are permitted subject to the approval of SEPA. All cancellation and substitution requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. You may designate a substitute, in writing, to [email protected], until April 25, 2023, so long as that written notice receives a confirmation from SEPA staff in writing.

Sharing or swapping of attendee registrations is not permitted.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

Cancellations within 3 days (72 hours) of the reservation after 12:00 p.m. will be charged one night’s room rate and tax. Not applicable to advanced purchase/prepaid reservations.

Photograph, Audio, and Video Recording Disclaimer

SEPA intends to audio record, and/or video record our sessions and other activities. Registrants for this conference agree that the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) may make use of all recordings for promotional and advertising uses. In addition, this event is open to the media, and they may be approached for interviews, both printed and electronic, and attendees should make their own choice as to whether to participate in such.

Safely Connecting

COVID-19 Policy: Vaccination or negative COVID test RECOMMENDED

Based on current state and CDC guidance, we have updated our COVID-19 policy. COVID vaccination and negative tests are no longer required, however, it is highly recommended that all participants, including attendees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, and staff, are vaccinated or test negative no more than 72 hours prior to arrival at the Utility Conference in Atlanta. In addition, face coverings are recommended (but not required) for all attendees, exhibitors, and staff. This policy may change as we get closer to the event and any updates will be shared with registered attendees, and updated on the event website.

*Please note that our COVID-19 policies are subject to change based on local, state, and CDC guidelines.*

Exhibits: Companies are encouraged to explore adding plexiglass shields to counters or meeting tables and other social distancing measures. In place of high-touch items, such as giveaways, we also encourage taking advantage of digital opportunities to distribute collateral.

Sanitation Stations: Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the event. Touch-free hand sanitizer, as well as gloves and alcohol wipes will be available as well.

Regular Cleaning: We will work with the event hotel and other venues to confirm they have increased cleaning regiments.

Registration: All attendees must pre-register digitally. To minimize time spent at registration, badges will be pre-printed and can be picked up from a designated registration counter.

This policy may change as we get closer to the event and any updates will be shared with registered attendees, and updated on the event website.

Terms & Conditions

I acknowledge that I participate in Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) events and activities at my own risk, and I agree to hold harmless, release, and discharge SEPA, and any sponsors or providers to any of them, from any and all claims, actions, damages, losses, costs, expenses and liability of any kind, including but not limited to any personal injury or property damage claims, liquor or dram shop claims, intellectual property infringement claims, privacy or security claims, and/or contract claims, that may arise out of my attendance at or participation in a SEPA event or activity.

SEPA is committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ability, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, or other protected characteristics. We expect all attendees, media, speakers, volunteers, venue staff, and exhibitors to help us ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior, as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior.

Code of Ethical Conduct

Be considerate, respectful, and collaborative. Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert event venue security or SEPA staff if you notice a dangerous or harassing situation or someone in distress.

Unacceptable Conduct

All who participate in the event deserve respectful treatment, regardless of the capacity in which they are attending. Unacceptable behaviors include: intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct by any attendee, speaker, partner, exhibitor, or volunteer of the event or related event activities. SEPA defines harassment to include: offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, national origin, gender identity, or disability; use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces (including presentation slides); deliberate intimidation, stalking or unwelcome following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention. Attendees often combine professional activities with social interaction and while SEPA encourages such networking and strengthening of connections between participants, SEPA reserves the right to remove anyone whose social attentions become unwelcome to an attendee or exhibitor, who appears inebriated and who engages in conduct that interferes with the ability of other attendees and/or exhibitors to participate in and enjoy the event. Event participants are not permitted to bring firearms to the event.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated at the events whether by (including but not limited to) attendees, media, speakers, volunteers, organizers, venue staff, sponsors, or exhibitors. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. SEPA, at its discretion, may bar those who violate this code from continued attendance or participation in some or all of the events, without refund of any fees paid, and may in appropriate circumstances bar violators of this code from attendance or participation in future events.
