Emerging Challenges and Solutions for PV and DER Interconnection at Varying Levels of Penetration

This interactive, half-day workshop, presented in conjunction with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), will be an opportunity for attendees to deepen knowledge on a broad suite of distributed PV and other DER interconnection issues, as well as provide feedback and insights based on their own experiences. The workshop will be oriented toward discussing when utilities should consider taking action based on levels of DER penetration and utility-specific attributes (e.g. number of customers).

This event is a part of the Grid Evolution Summit, click here to register for the entire conference along with this workshop and be a part of the future of energy.

What Will You Get Out of the Workshop?

  • An introduction to Distributed Generation Interconnection Collaborative (DGIC) and the latest in this area of research
  • An introduction to the Interconnection Best Practices Guidebook and associated  interconnection maturity model concept development
    • Including topical deep-dives to expand foundational knowledge
  • Concrete actionable information from other utilities
  • Influence research at DGIC and SEPA in a direction that responds to stakeholder needs
  • Impact what topics would be important to cover in the coming years at DGIC and updates on likely structure of partnerships to continue the work
