Low-Income Solar Installation

Presented in partnership with GRID Alternatives

Date: Monday, July 9, 2018
Time: Approximately 8am-4pm ET
Location: On-site in Washington, DC (transportation will be provided to and from the Washington Hilton)
Price: $150 per person (space limited)

Get Out and Give Back

Climb a ladder, pull solar panels up to a roof, and learn how to install solar alongside trained installers from GRID Alternatives. A limited number of attendees will get a chance to work with their hands while knowing they’re providing clean energy and a lower utility bill to low income DC communities.

This exclusive opportunity will take place at an affordable housing complex or ground-mounted community solar array serving Washington, DC residents at or below the 80% Area Median Income. The beneficiaries of the installed programming will receive a no-to-low cost solar installation and / or monthly utility bill savings associated with direct electrical generation from the solar installation.

The Low Income Solar Installation is a part of the Grid Evolution Summit, click here to register for the entire conference along with this event and be a part of the future of energy.

Participants must register no later than June 15, and must agree to an hour-long online orientation to be scheduled one week prior to the workday.

What's included
  • Transportation to and from the Washington Hilton
  •  GRID Alternatives t-shirts and water bottles
  • Lunch during the workday

GRID Alternatives will also provide a detailed safety briefing, all safety equipment, refreshments, and construction-related equipment necessary for the day. An impact report, including an online photo album, will be available post-event.
