Prior to joining NorthWestern Energy, Mr. Rowe was co-founder and senior partner at Balhoff, Rowe & Williams, LLC, a specialized national professional services firm providing financial and regulatory advice to clients in the telecommunications and utility industries (January 2005-August 2008). Prior to that, Mr. Rowe was Chairman (2003-2004) and Commissioner (1993-2002) of the Montana Public Service Commission, Chairman of Western Energy Institute (2012-2013), and Co-Chair of the Institute of Electric Innovation, an institute of the Edison Electric Foundation focused on advancing the adoption of innovative and efficient technologies among electric utilities and their technology partners that will transform the power grid.
