The European power sector has a common goal and vision of a clean energy future, but vision alone isn’t enough to ensure a successful transition. Through the exploration of new value streams, Europe has charted a course towards investing in innovative technologies, programs and approaches, with a willingness to take some risk and the knowledge that there will be failures as well as successes. How can Europe’s experience benefit U.S. utilities as they lay their own course toward a cleaner, more efficient, and resilient grid?
