IEEE 2030.5 (formerly known as the Smart Energy Profile 2.0) is an IoT standard aimed at connecting consumer-owned technology to the smart grid. There has been recent uptake of the standard for communicating between aggregated distributed energy resources (DER) and utilities, particularly in California’s recent Rule 21 activities.
This webinar will give an overview of the standard as well as a deeper look at its use in connecting DER.
