2015 Utility Solar Market Snapshot

This report summarizes the results of SEPA’s annual survey of the solar activities of electric utilities.

In 2007, SEPA began surveying electric utilities on the amount of solar they integrated each year, with the goal of providing the most accurate and granular solar market data in the industry. This report provides aggregated results of the survey and highlights top utilities in specific categories.

The tradition continues with the 2015 Solar Market Snapshot.

In this year’s report, we cover the national solar market and its expansion in the previous year. We dive into the utility solar market, exploring which utilities integrated solar in 2015. We discuss the economics around policy, programs and technology and how it relates to the market. Finally, we provide in-depth data analysis analyzing the solar market during the year.
