Cristin Lyons is a partner with ScottMadden and leads the firm’s Grid Transformation practice, which helps clients adapt to the operational, planning, customer, and regulatory changes driven by the increasing penetration of distributed energy resources. Since joining the firm in 1999, Cristin has consulted with myriad transmission and distribution clients on issues ranging from process and organizational redesign to merger integration to project and program management. She is also a frequent speaker and panelist at conferences across the country. Cristin earned a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from Gettysburg College, and an M.B.A. from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Christine Stearn Senior Manager, Regulatory Innovation, Smart Electric Power Alliance Christine is focused on ensuring that state regulatory processes enable timely and effective deployment of technologies, partnerships and business models that help move the electric industry to a clean and modern grid. Christine joined SEPA in 2015 and previously she advised utilities on strategic and operational plans for programs, products and services that will drive integration of clean energy resources into utility resource portfolios and business operations. She also managed SEPA’s 51st State Initiative, a collaborative platform as an alternative to the contentious debates surrounding market and rate reform occurring jurisdictions across the US. Prior to SEPA, Christine has had a variety of rewarding work experiences ranging from startups to working at a global sustainability think tank, to building an analytic program for a $3 billion operating organization. Christine presents on energy, sustainability, technology, climate and risk topics. Christine earned both a MBA and a M.Sc. from Columbia University and her BS from Babson College where she majored in Management Information Systems. Christine has a love of travel, a taste for pancakes, an aptitude for technology, an itch to run and a desire to connect with others, Jane Park VP, Regulatory Policy & Strategy, Commonwealth Edison Company As Vice President of Regulatory Policy & Strategy, Jane is responsible for shaping and implementing regulatory energy policy and strategy; works with regulatory stakeholders including the Illinois Commerce Commission, and other agencies on a variety of key energy dockets, rule-makings, and related initiatives; and assists in the development of regulatory business model strategies and policies for future growth. Prior to her current role, Jane was Director of Business Strategy & Technology at ComEd where she was responsible for shaping tech enhancements to web, mobile, voice, and social media, developing new products, services, and collaborations as they relate to demand response & dynamic pricing, and shaping customer experience. Jane also served as Chief of Staff to ComEd President & CEO Anne Pramaggiore. Prior to this role, Jane was in-house counsel to Exelon, first as Assistant General Counsel in Litigation and then Regulatory. Prior to coming in-house to Exelon, Jane was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP where she worked on complex commercial litigation matters. Jane has a B.A. from Harvard and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Bradley Klein Senior Attorney, Environmental Law & Policy Center Brad is a Senior Attorney at the Environmental Law & Policy Center, where he works on renewable energy and clean water litigation and policy. Brad specializes in policies to support solar, storage, and other distributed energy resources, and has worked on interconnection and net metering standards, solar program design, clean energy financing, rate design and other policies at state legislatures and utility commissions across the Midwest. Brad previously served as a federal judicial law clerk in Washington, D.C., a law fellow at the Environmental Law Institute, and an environmental engineer at CH2M Hill, Inc. Brad received his law degree with honors from New York University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
